Is anyone else going broke from Christmas shopping? Please say yes so I don't feel super poor (that is compared to the rest of the Western world).

Also, totally missing summer days. Even though I strangely love the cold.

Hello World!

Even though I'm feeling super over-whelmed by all the homework I have, even though school hasn't even started (thank you over-acheving homeschool mothers), the end of summer is turning out to be quite spectacular!

VBS at our church has started, and I'm one of the dancer-motion people. Which is quite entertaining and hilarious. Since its sea-themed this year I get to wear a captain's hat. AWESOME. Also, this little girl in Kate's crew wouldn't tell me her name and we convinced her I couldn't read, so I called her Linshinda all night. Later, I found out her name is Natalie... I'm totally still calling her Linshinda.

Sunday I went exploring with my sister Em and we found a Pinkberry! We didn't go, seeing as we'd just had Starbucks, but today my sister Kate and I went back. I'd never had it, but I must say, it is superbly delicious.

Today I went to the library and got some CDS: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Grizzly Bear, St. Vincent, Cat Power, and The Killers. My ears are very happy right now.

Tonight one of my favorite people is spending the night! YAY MORGAN!

I figured out how to fix my hair so I look like an emo kid. Yippee!

Well....

So much has happened since the beach. Our friend Taylor came in, we went to camp, we went to the beach (as I already mentioned), our friends Benji and Lilly are coming in today, our church's General Assembly is coming up this week (and since my dad is a pastor, and my whole family is involved, we're all going), VBS is coming up, and.... drum rolllllllll.... I might be going to China next summer... and I lost five pounds. My summer just keeps getting better.

I'll talk more about the whole China thing later... but here are some pictures. The first is from camp, second is from when Taylor was in, and the last one is from the ferry that took us to Bald Head Island. I miss all of it. :(
