Yesterday I got back my new school picture. Its not horrible, but I never really like my school pictures... but who does? Anyway, my sisters and I were looking back at the different school pictures I've taken, and we realized that in all of them I look hispanic. Legit. Which I am not. Not that I wouldn't want to be, its just confuzzling for some people. Especially my hispanic/black friends.
1. My hispanic friend was really offended because he thought we would be more loving since we were "hispanic" which we aren't. And never told him we were.
2. My friend Terrence (who is black) goes, "I don't want to offend you, but are you mixed?" First, why would that offend me? Second, hilarious.
3. My other part hispanic friend lives with the delusion that I'm Indian. From India. Oh, for say... twoish years? Finally he gets up the courage to ask me and realizes I'm mostly English/Irish/Swiss/German/Native American. He is confuzzled. I am laughing.
4. And probably my favorite, this guy comes to church (he's white) and my friend tells him that I'm French, my sister Kate is Irish, and my other sister Em is Spanish. And he believes us. hahahhaha.
Here is a prime example of why people have thought I'm another ethnicity.
The little half-stache just confirms it. The photo is from 3rd grade I think. The poncho also confirms how awesome my fashion sense was.
